He began his career in craftsmanship as an entrepreneur and then with suppliers to luxury brands. His passion for precious stones and beautiful objects led him to join Chanel in 1994. For the next 23 years, Georges led purchasing of (sourced) fine stones and precious metals, developed one-off pieces and annual collections and oversaw all the manufacturing of the Chanel Jewellery division. Georges brought together designers, craftsmen and finance directors to transform Chanel’s Fine Jewellery Department into the industry leader.
With Jacques Helleu, Artistic Director of Chanel and creator of the iconic “J12” watch, Georges developed and delivered this enduring timepiece.
Thanks to talented teams, he was also able to carry out other innovative projects, such as the implementation of a CSR approach. Georges also joined the Chanel Foundation board of directors. The foundations goals align with his own interest in promoting the empowerment of women in the world.
At 52, the search for new challenges encouraged Georges to lead HRH Joaillerie, a young innovative brand in watches and jewelry based in Monaco, with the ambition of developing an omni-channel model.
To help other luxury brands maximize environmental challenges, societal frameworks and technological innovations to achieve sustainable performance, whatever their size.
